Lana Niccole
Lana is an experience, passionate soccer coach with a strong understanding of tactics and techniques.
She has been coaching and training players affiliated with different clubs and organizations in Orange County for the past five years. Lana focuses on player development by building player self-esteem and confidence while improving overall ball mastery skills. She creates a special bond with the players she coaches.
Lana is currently working on her Sports Coaching Certification and Bachelor of Sports Science (B.S.S.) at the United States Sports Academy majoring in sports medicine and coaching administration. Lana is planning to continue her education and her goal is to become a sports medicine physician.
She grew up playing club soccer in Huntington Beach. She had the opportunities to play and train both nationally and internationally. She twice medaled at the 1984 Junior Olympics in Los Angeles at the age of 14 and went on to play center midfield at Edison High School where she was voted MVP and won several CIF Championships. She played center forward in the Premier League for Chivas Guadalajara. Lana also worked with a charity organization, the Magic Mirror Foundation, where she accompanied a group of doctors and visited remote areas of Mexico, helping people with necessary medical treatment.
Lana is coaching her fourth year as an Assistant Varsity Coach at Beckman High School and she is excited to start coaching women’s soccer this season at Irvine Valley College. Lana also has a training business, Back of The Net. Most importantly, Lana dedicates her time as a counselor for young players and their families, encouraging them and helping them meet their goals both on and off the field.
Lana is a proud mother of her 19 year old daughter, Brianna. She lives in Laguna Niguel.
