ECNL NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!!
Congratulations to the G2003 ECNL team as they won the ECNL National Championship!! The team, coached by Walter Camargo, overcame East Medows FC 2-0 in the final to add yet another National title to the Slammers already impressive honors list. The run to the title starting in Seattle, where the team won their group by beating Florida Elite 3-0, Minnesota Thunder 2-0 and tied 1-1 vs Challenge. Onto the knockouts and a PK shootout settled the game against GSA, moving the team on to Virginia for the final 4. It was here that they met conference rivals Strikers FC, and another PK shootout win after a 1-1 draw saw them in to the final.
Congratulations to all the players and staff on this tremendous achievement! The club is very proud to have yet another National Champion!!
